Neighbourhood bakery · eleven years on this street

The neighbourhood’s bread, for the people who stay and the people passing through.

We bake twice a day: early for the regulars, and again in the afternoon for everybody else. The coffee is good, and it is served until we close.

Allergens

Our bakery handles gluten, eggs, milk and nuts on the same surfaces, so we can’t promise anything is free of traces. We’d rather say that plainly than print it in small type. Ask us: we know every recipe in the case.

The second bake comes out around 15:00. The sourdough is usually gone before 18:00 on a Saturday.

Annual closure: three weeks in August. The exact dates are published here in June and posted on the door.

Find us

We’re halfway along rue de l’Exemple, between the square and the bridge. The shopfront is red, and hard to miss, except on a Monday.

The bakery

Petit Radis opened eleven years ago in what used to be a haberdashery. The oven is at the back, visible from the counter, and it starts at four in the morning.

Half our customers have come every day for years. The other half are staying two nights in the quarter and may never come back. We bake the same bread for both.
